Title

Investigation of the capabilities of an electro-optic modulator based on a temperature-noncritical KTP crystal

Abstract
The results of theoretical and experimental investigations on angular selectivity and features of a temperature-noncritical electro-optic modulator based on the potassium titanyl phosphate crystal are presented. The influence of angular selectivity and the walk-off effect on the electro-optic modulator contrast and the inhomogeneity of the transverse distribution of modulator transmittance are investigated. The contrast value was measured for both half-wave and compensated quarter-wave schemes.
