Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Schmier- oder Bearbeitungsfluessigkeit fuer technische Anwendungen. Die Schmier- oder Bearbeitungsfluessigkeit besteht aus einer Mischung aus Wasser und einem oder mehreren Polymeren. Sie laesst sich als Hydraulikfluessigkeit oder als Kuehlschmierstoff einsetzen, ist langzeitstabil, biologisch nicht oder nur sehr schwer abbaubar und kann einfach von Oberflaechen abgewaschen werden.

WO2005123888 A UPAB: 20060201 NOVELTY - Mixture of water and a thickener is used as a matrix liquid for preparing a machining suspension. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for: (1) use of a mixture of water and one or more polymers as a lubricating or processing liquid in technical applications, especially as a lubricating hydraulic fluid or a metalworking fluid; (2) machining suspension comprising a particulate abrasive suspended in a matrix liquid as above (3) fractionating a machining suspension as above, either by reducing the thickener concentration to destabilize the suspension and then separating the abrasive or by drying the suspension and then separating the abrasive from the thickener solids; (4) treating a lubricating or processing liquid as above to improve its wash-off properties and biodegradability by decomposing the polymer(s). USE - For preparing a machining suspension containing a particulate abrasive, e.g. diamond, corundum or silicon carbide, for maching metals or ceramics, e.g. filing, lapping, sawing, grinding or polishing. ADVANTAGE - Machining suspensions prepared with the matrix liquid have good stability and are easily fractionated to recover the abrasive.
