Title

Comparison of Analytical and Finite Element Based Parameter Identification Methods for Electrical Machines

Abstract
Parameter identification is crucial for the modeling of electric machines and numerous methods exist for this purpose. This study presents and compares two methods applied to an induction machine, discussing various aspects of these methods. The resulting parameter sets are utilized in a spatial fundamental model and a short-circuit simulation in the time domain is performed. The simulation deviations are analyzed, correlating the differences with parameter discrepancies to identify the most influential parameters. Additionally, a potential adaptation of the presented methods for high-frequency models is discussed.
