Title

Maker Systems Engineering Systematic: A Practitioner-Driven Research Agenda

Abstract
In the area of product development, a trend from Product Thinking to System Thinking is recognizable to address future challenges. A lot of innovative ideas fail because of less expertise in structured realisation of these complex systems. (Advanced) Systems Engineering as one interdisciplinary approach for product development offers a solution. In particular, the Maker Scene and Start-ups lack access to these approaches. This paper examines the need and definition of "Maker Systems Engineering Systematic"besides previous approaches for low-level and rapid implementation of innovative mechatronic ideas. This government-funded research project bridges the gap between Systems Engineering and Rapid Prototyping.
