Smart Campus Initiative

Der Bildungscampus in Heilbronn hat sich seit der Gründung im Jahr 2010 zu einem einzigartigen Ort für lebenslanges Lernen und wissenschaftliche Forschung entwickelt. Dabei vernetzt und verzahnt der Campus seine Institutionen entlang der gesamten Bildungsbiografie und schafft so eine innovative Bildungsstätte im Sinne eines ganzheitlichen Ökosystems. Das Whitepaper richtet sich an Fach- und Führungskräfte der Institutionen am Bildungscampus sowie der Stadtverwaltung und lokaler Unternehmen. Es zeigt auf, wie die Smart Campus Initiative den Bildungscampus Heilbronn als Reallabor für die Entwicklung smarter Services nutzt. Ziel ist es, die zugrunde liegende Vorgehensweise transparent zu machen und Stakeholder dazu zu befähigen, eigene Themen und Perspektiven in zukünftige Entwicklungen einzubringen. By closely connecting and integrating its institutions along the entire educational journey, the campus has created an innovative learning environment that functions as a holistic ecosystem. This white paper is intended for professionals and decision-makers from the institutions located on the Bildungscampus, as well as from the city administration and local businesses. It demonstrates how the Smart Campus Initiative leverages the Bildungscampus Heilbronn as a real-world laboratory for the development of smart services. The goal is to make the underlying approach transparent and to empower stakeholders to contribute their own topics and perspectives to future developments. Specifically, the white paper presents individual steps in service development as well as the supporting technological infrastructures, illustrated through real-world use cases such as carbon footprint measurement, parking occupancy forecasting, and the deployment of both a navigation robot and a facility management robot on campus.
