From Lab to Grid Application: Development of a 5 kW/12 kWh Aqueous Organic Flow Battery in project HIGREEW

Title Supplement
Poster presented at International Flow Battery Forum 2025, 24 to 26 June 2025, Vienna, Austria
Abstract
The HIGREEW prototype Project HIGREEW aimed to develop a novel type of Aqueous Organic Redox Flow Battery (AORFB). The development started at the active material level with the electrolyte and after 4 years culminated in the demonstration of a kW-scale battery prototype which was installed in the real environment at "La Plana Hybrid Pilot Plant" near Zaragoza, Spain. The poster you're looking at highlights the construction and deployment of the modular, containerized prototype system.
