Geschäftsmodellsimulation mit System Dynamics zur Innovation serviceorientierter Geschäftsmodelle in der Industrie

Diese Dissertation verfolgt die Zielstellung, den Modellierungs- und Simulationsansatz System Dynamics als Prototyping- und Evaluationswerkzeug im Innovationsprozess serviceorientierter Geschäftsmodelle nutzbar zu machen. Um dieses Forschungsziel zu erreichen, wurden nach dem gestaltungsorientierten Forschungsvorgehen des Action Design Research nach Sein et al. (2011) zwei Artefakte entwickelt und im Rahmen von Geschäftsmodellinnovationsvorhaben bei zwei Unternehmen angewendet und evaluiert.
Artefakt 1 ist ein Vorgehensmodell, welches die System-Dynamics-Modellierung und -Simulation ganzheitlich in den Prozess der Geschäftsmodellinnovation integriert. Artefakt 2 ist eine Modellierungsrichtlinie, um Geschäftsmodelle akteurorientiert als Simulationsmodelle abzubilden. Artefakt 1 und 2 erlauben es (gemeinsam mit einer System-Dynamics-Software), neue Geschäftsmodelle quantitativ zu modellieren und aus verschiedenen unternehmerischen Perspektiven vor der Marktimplementierung zu evaluieren.

This dissertation pursues the research objective of making the System Dynamics modeling and simulation approach usable as a prototyping and evaluation tool in the innovation process of service-oriented business models. In order to achieve this research objective, two artifacts were developed according to the design-oriented research approach of Action Design Research according to Sein et al. (2011) and applied and evaluated in the context of business model innovation projects at two industrial companies.
Artifact 1 is a process model that integrates System Dynamics modeling and simulation holistically into the business model innovation process. Artifact 2 is a modeling framework for representing business models as actor-oriented simulation models. Artifacts 1 and 2 make it possible (together with System Dynamics software) to model new business models quantitatively and evaluate them from various business perspectives before market implementation.
