Title

Particle Filter Based Track before Detect Method for Space Surveillance Radars

Abstract
Space surveillance radars deal with targets posing high range migration and low signal to noise ratio, making them difficult to detect and track. This paper illustrates a particle filter based track before detect approach using coherently integrated target reflections. The method not only tracks the target but also gives the probability of the presence of a target in a given frame. The paper also presents a feedback-based weight update approach to particle filtering, discusses its performance and the potential advancements of this research.
