Title
Implementation and Characterization of a system-plant adapted controller for a step-down-converter
Abstract
To achieve better performance in control circuits adaptive controllers can be used. In this work a deadbeat controller for a buck converter, build on a PCB, was developed. For the deadbeat controller calculation the transfer function of the system plant was estimated, based on measured input- and output-data. A stable controller could be found and was implemented in software. In a closed loop system the performance was compared to an implemented PID controller, where the calculated deadbeat controller achieved a smaller settling time than the PID controller.
