Increasing productivity and the constant optimization of production processes is crucial for manufacturing companies to remain competitive in future. However, in manual assembly processes, data acquisition is still challenging. This article presents a modular sensor system for the automated data acquisition and analysis of manual assembly processes and shows its potential based on an industrial project.
