Title

Determination of the optimal operating parameters for a FAIMS-Chip for the system integration in the human breath and urine analytic

Abstract
Measurements with a commercially available FAIMS-system are performed and discussed. The influence of the analyte concentration, the pressure and the moisture of the carrier gas in a mixture of acetone and 2-pentanone is discussed. In order to optimize the properties of the carrier gas in terms of the ability to distinguish both analytes in the measured data, an example sample is chosen and created. The monomer peaks of both analytes in the mixture of 192 ppb acetone and 37 ppb 2-pentanone can be seen clearly and distinguishable for a water concentration of 2300 ppm and a pressure of 1.49 atm.
