Title
Bootstrapping a Wireless Localization System
Abstract
This paper presents a novel approach for the creation of a wireless ultra-wide-band localization system with fewest constraints. The network nodes do not require any previous knowledge of the infrastructure nor network geometry. The system uses a modified Assumption Based Coordinates algorithm for the reference point creation and extends the network coverage by adding more nodes that estimate their position autonomously. The system's performance is evaluated via simulation and different position estimation techniques are analyzed for their feasibility to bootstrap a localization network.
