Abstract
Improvements in tools and methods will continue support designers of integrated circuits to achieve first-time-right silicon. The presentation outlines a foundry view on this topic with a particular emphasis on Design for Reliability. Interim results from the publicly funded project iRel40 and an outlook on future activities are presented.
