Title

Fast reaction screening combining segmented flow microfluidics and surface enhanced raman spectroscopy

Abstract
A novel approach for reaction screening in micro segmented flow processes by using surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) as a sensitive and highly selective analytic technique was developed. In an automatic serial-parallel step all fluid segments are transferred individually to silver/polyacrylamide composite SERS spots. This approach for SERS analytics allows simple integration into segmented flow processes und provides reproducible measurements for fast screening applications. A label free screening of the deamination reaction of adenine to hypoxanthine with sodium nitrite was analyzed using the described approach.
