Simulation procedures for a cylindrical near-field to far-field transformation with probe compensation and gain determination

Abstract
Over the last decades, a large number of near-field to far-field transformation techniques have been published. The implementation of an effective algorithm even with probe correction is not very cumbersome but then the question comes up how can I test the correctness and accuracy of the code? This paper outlines a transformation code based on cylindrical scanning together with effective simulation techniques for the verification of the code and for gain determination which can be used to optimize and simplify the subsequent measurement processes.
