New insights on quantum random number generation (QRNG) by phase diffusion

Abstract
We present a parametric study of QRNG harnessing phase diffusion in gain-switched DFB laser diode. Our findings give new insights into the process, its limitations regarding maximum raw data rate, and advantage of pulsed regime.
