Title

Betriebsverhalten der virtuellen Synchronmaschine

Other Title
Operational behavior of the virtual synchronous machine
Abstract
High shares of power electronic inverters reduce system inertia which threatens frequency stability. New control schemes for inverters are required. Virtual synchronous machines (VSM) replicate the inertia and inherent voltage support of synchronous machines. High short-circuit currents however increase hardware cost. An extended VSM model and a strategy to reduce short-circuit currents while maintaining stability is presented. System studies and experiments demonstrate that VSM ensure stability in the system split scenario.
