Title
Large-disturbance voltage stability of SG applying FGW TR4-models in distribution grids
Abstract
Increasing installation of renewable energy generators and increasing amount of small grid-connected generators, such as Combined Heat and Power (CHP) units influences large-disturbance voltage stability in distribution grids [1]. Due to this reason grid codes demand standardized simulation models. In Germany TR4-models are obligatory [2]. This publication focuses on the behavior of a synchronous generator (SG) during short-circuits. All presented TR4-models are validated according to low voltage ride through (LVRT) measurements in a laboratory environment. An improved model is presented that shows less deviation in comparison to standard model implementation. The improved model is applied within an exemplary distribution grid simulation.
