Chemistry and technology of pre-applicable structural adhesives

If an adhesive is already supplied on a part technology and productivity of adhesive bonding can be improved in numerous cases. The conventional adhesives do not properly work for such applications. The special adhesives need to be solid and non tacky but should adhere well in the uncured state. Furthermore they must have a long shelf live but short curing times. Additionally simple controll of the state - fresh, expired or finally cured - is desired. It will be presented how to realize all these contradicting requirements and for which kind of applications it leads to technical and economic improvements.
