Chirp scaling algorithm using the least-squares approximation

Abstract
The standard chirp scaling algorithm requires a quadratic approximation to the phase function of the SAR signal in the frequency domain. We propose to find this approximation using the method of least squares. First simulation results show an improvement in the image quality when compared with the usual Taylor approximation.
