Title

Comparative operational modal analysis: Application of a semi-active vibration absorber to a manufacturing machine

Abstract
This paper presents a semi-active vibration absorber concept and its implementa-tion on a manufacturing machine for a vibration reduction scheme. Therefore, extensive ex-perimental tests using Experimental Modal Analysis and Operational Modal Analysis have been performed on the complete manufacturing machine for system identification purposes as well as additional comparative operational tests to check the efficiency of the semi-active vibration ab-sorber. The main experimental tests and analysis results are described and presented.
