ISAR data acquisition and processing of vessels using PAMIR

Acquisition of vessel ISAR data typically suffers from the unavailability of cooperative targets. For experimental practice the automatic identification system (AIS) is a valuable aid which enables the localisation of large ship targets and in consequence a data acquisition can be performed at the vessel position. An AIS receiver has been integrated in the PAMIR system so that AIS messages, which are transmitted by the vessels, can be decoded during the data take. First processing results of acquired data are shown.
