Titel

Access 2 all. Innovative HMI concepts for barrier-free travelling

Abstract
ACCESS 2 ALL is a European funded project, which aims at encouraging public transport operators, belonging to the project's target group, to adopt innovative technological concepts and mobility schemes that enable mobility and transportation services for all citizens of high quality. In addition the public transport personnel shall be provided with the necessary knowledge on the particularities of specific user groups, such as the elderly or disabled - covered under the term of mobility impaired people. ACCESS 2 ALL aims at defining concrete mobility schemes, guidelines and policy recommendations, ensuring accessibility of public transport to all users through the coordination of current research efforts. Enabling barrier-free transportation does include the improvement of public transport information by means of integrated and personalized travel information systems and novel HMI concepts. The present paper gives a description of the conceptual design of the ACCESS 2 ALL HMI solutions and describes the ACCESS 2 ALL approach of information provision.
