Strukturiertes Planen für Automatisierungssysteme

Efficient planning and development of automation solutions
Abstract
In this presentation we confine ourselves to the introduction of the state of the art of methods and tools for the specification, planning and development of robotic automation systems for industrial manufacturing. Over the past years, the VDI Directive 2221 "Method for the Development and Design of Technical Systems and Products" has been adapted with suitable tools for the investigated design processes. Recent developments such as "Axiomtic Design" (initially proposed in the 90ies) aim to create a closer interaction between functional and technical specification and to account more for the mechatronic nature of robot automation systems. Axiomatic design also urges the planner to verify the technical feasibility and robustness of the found solution. The determination of the "probabilistic density" of the technical solution requires either the application of design or solution catalogues or in many cases, especially in conjunction with the application of sensors feasibility experiments. Examples are given to explain the application of the VDI2221, AD and design catalogues. Emphasis is placed on carrying out simply feasibility experiments.
