Smart-Wear: A personalized information broker

In this paper, we demonstrate the impact of information technology in the field of high-tech-fashion. Information logistics is an innovative technology based on the idea that the right information gets to the recipient, e.g. journalists at the right time. The objective is a need- and user-orientated information supply according to just-in-time principles. We demonstrate the concept and technology of Smart-Wear® an intelligent digital companion in the form of a vest with an integrated information supply. The wireless data transfer meets the needs of mobile users. The experiences and customer research will be described as well as further fields of application.
