Title

High Accuracy 3D Machine Vision System for flexible and automated Disassembly of WEEE

Abstract
In case of the forecasted amount of used electric and electronic appliances will occur new ways have to be found in order to fulfull disassembly tasks with high quality at reasonable costs. Flexible automation respectively partially automated process for disassembly tasks are an approach to reduce dismantling expenses thereby creating an economic way of recycling. This contribution present a new 3D Machine Vision System. The primary goal of the presented vision system is to detect the exact number, the type, and the precise position in the three dimensional robot coordinate system of the screws for the housing. The developed method is based on stereo vision.
