Title

Impact of diffusion length distributions on the performance of mc-silicon solar cells

Abstract
Topographies of the effective diffusion length L(ind eff) of mc-silicon solar cells are obtained with a new measurement system, Spectrally Resolved Light Beam Induced Current (SR-LBIC). High speed simultaneous measurement at a series of wavelength is achieved by a technique employing light modulation and digital demodulation. A network model for the calculation of the IV-curve of a solar cell from the diffusion length distribution is presented and proven. The model is then used to predict the impact of specific forms of diffusion length distributions on the solar cell performance.
