Optical fibres as radiation dosimeter
Abstract
The radiation induced transmission loss reduction of a phosphorus (P) containing gradient index fibre has been investigated with respect to the suitability for radiation dosimetry purposes. Stress was layed especially on the determination of linearity range, reproducibility, dose rate dependance, fading behaviour, and the usable temperature range.
