Local area network -LAN- to support VLSI design

In order to achieve an effective design cycle, a rapid interconnection between the different computers, made by means of a local area network, is necessary. A satisfactory solution requires the consideration of various aspects like requirements and tools for design of IC's, network standards and services, availability and costs. The selection of our network configuration, current status and our experiences will be described in this paper.
