An application of EDIF in the domain of CAE/CAD.

The article gives a short introduction to the "Electronic Design Interchange Format" (EDIF) and presents a program system which allows a fast, error-free and system-neutral creation of schematic symbols for CAE/CAD systems. An EDIF generator has been developed for this program system. This allows the transfer of the complete library of a user to any CAE/CAD workstation which supports an EDIF interface. (AGD)
