Abstract
The invention relates to a method for locally making contact with a semiconductor component, said semiconductor component being part of a photovoltaic solar cell or of a preliminary stage in the process for producing a photovoltaic solar cell, comprising the following method steps: A applying at least one metal layer to one side of the semiconductor component, B locally heating at least the metal layer, in such a way that at least the metal layer is momentarily melted in a local region. It is essential that a metal foil is used as the metal layer, and that after method step B the non-melted regions of the metal foil are removed in a method step C. The invention furthermore relates to a processing table for carrying out such a method.
