Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Latentwärmespeichermaterial, umfassend ein Aluminiumsulfat-Hydrat mit einem Aluminiumoxid-Anteil im Bereich von 14 bis 17 Gew.-% Aluminiumoxid und mit zwischen 14 und 20 Mol Wasser pro Al2(SO4)3-Einheit und mindestens ein Chlorid-Hydrat, mit der Massgabe, dass dann, wenn das Aluminiumsulfat weniger als 16 Mol Wasser pro Aluminiumsulfat-Einheit enthält, mindestens 2 Gew.-% Calciumchlorid-Hydrat, bezogen auf die Summe aus Aluminiumsulfat-Hydrat und Chlorid-Hydrat, vorhanden sein müssen.
