The press tool (1) has an upper tool (2) and a lower tool (3), where both tools are movable relative to each other by a press. An energy storage (5) is loaded by the relative movement of the upper tool and the lower tool. The press tool has a storage element (8) that is coupled with an additional tool (7) and is connected with the additional tool over a trigger unit (10). The trigger unit is electrically or mechanically actuated. An independent claim is included for a method for actuating an additional tool of a press tool.
