Gesinterter schall- und schwingungsdaempfender Werkstoff

(A1) Die Erfindung betrifft gesinterte schall- und schwingungsdaempfende Werkstoffe, die die Eigenschaft aufweisen, unerwuenschte Geraeusche und Vibrationen zu daempfen. Die Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es, einen Werkstoff, der mit einem Metall oder einer Metalllegierung als Basismaterial und einer Zweitphase gebildet ist, zur Verfuegung zu stellen, mit dem eine erhoehte Daempfung erreichbar ist und der zusaetzlich eine Festigkeit aufweist, dass er als Konstruktionswerkstoff eingesetzt werden kann. Der erfindungsgemaesse Werkstoff ist mit mindestens einem Metall oder einer Metalllegierung, mit dem/der durch chemische Reaktion eine Carbidbildung moeglich ist, und mit Kohlenstoff in Form von Graphit gebildet. Dabei betraegt der im Werkstoff enthaltene Anteil an Graphit mindestens 50 Vol.-%.
