In Deutschland hat energiesparendes Bauen eine lange Tradition. Seit mehr als 30 Jahren wird am Gebäude der Zukunft geforscht, das klimaneutral bewohnt werden kann. Das Effizienzhaus Plus ist nicht an eine bestimmte Technologie gebunden, sondern es kann vielfältig durch eine intelligente Kombination von energieeffizienten Bautechnologien und erneuerbaren Energiegewinnsystemen realisiert werden. Diese Broschüre informiert über den neuen Gebäudestandard und die aktuellen Ergebnisse aus dem Netzwerk.

The brochure by the German Building Ministry in the English language contains the definition of the pilot projects that receive subsidies from the German programme "Efficiency House Plus", describes possible concepts and components to form such a plus energy house and summarises the results of the first years of operation of the Efficiency House Plus with E-Mobility in Berlin. The Efficiency House Plus network which has many other buildings of the same energy performance level and first experiences made in houses concerning energy, costs and occupants' feedback are documented as well. This brochure is the English version of an update of the Efficiency House Plus brochure that has previously only been available in the German language.
