Title

Tooling in Austria

Abstract
The results of the study that there are indeed many excellent tool shops in Austria, especially in the field of injection moulding. In international comparisons, Austrian toolmaking convinces with precise tools of high quality, which are delivered on time. Austrian tool shops also have a well-skilled workforce, state-of-the-art machinery and strong customer relationships. Austrian tools shops should use these resources and conditions to turn data into value by digitising their production and by developing new databased business models in order to create additional benefits for their customers. Doing so would enable Austrian tool shops to stay ahead of the competition and to further differentiate themselves from international rivals. Further information regarding the Austrian tooling industry can be found in the "Tooling in Austria" study, which will be published by the WBA Tooling Academy Aachen in November 2020. The study will be available for free download from the WBA's website.
