Introduce of Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics

A Building with a comfortable and healthy indoor climate, a high durability without defacement, small energy consumption and moderate building- and maintenance costs. To achieve such a building is the main aim of the Fraunhofer Institute for Building Physics (called "IBP") in Germany. Based on the large amount of knowledge and experiences through researches for years and various practice projects not only in Germany but also in other countries, new building materials and systems as well as concepts have been developed and brought to the market by IBP. IBP is also required to set or change the standards related to the building construction. In this report the research fields of this institute and its own unique test facilities are introduced.
