Self-Assessment im Komplexitätsmanagement

Die zunehmende Globalisierung von Unternehmensaktivitäten erfordert eine stärkere Produktdifferenzierung bei gleichzeitiger Reduzierung der Kosten. Systematisches Komplexitätsmanagement ist in Zeiten der Mikrosegmentierung der Märkte eine notwendige Voraussetzung, um den damit einhergehenden Herausforderungen erfolgreich zu begegnen. Viele Unternehmen haben die Wichtigkeit eines umfassenden Managements der Produktkomplexität erkannt. Um die eigene Position in Bezug auf das Komplexitätsmanagement beurteilen und entsprechende Maßnahmen ableiten zu können, wurde von der Complexity Management Academy und dem Werkzeugmaschinenlabor WZL der RWTH Aachen ein Self-Assessment Tool entwickelt. Das Self- Assessment erlaubt es Unternehmen, die eigenen Stärken und Schwächen in Bezug auf das Management von Komplexität zu ermitteln und klare Handlungsempfehlungen zur Verbesserung des Status Quo zu formulieren.

The increasing globalization of company activities requires a greater product differentiation at a constant cost level. In times of highly fragmented markets, the management of complexity is an important factor to meet the associated challenges. Most companies have recognized the importance for a comprehensive management of complexity. In order to assess a company's performance regarding the management of complexity and to introduce appropriate measures, the Complexity Management Academy developed a Self-Assessment Tool in cooperation with the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering. The Self-Assessment allows companies the identification of strengths and weaknesses regarding their management of complexity and aims at the derivation of recommendations for the improvement of the status-quo.
