Guidelines for the implementation of warehouse management systems
Abstract
Optimal warehouse management requires a WMS which is configured for the user's needs. The system must therefore be prepared and implemented with great attention to detail. While a WMS is being implemented, the warehouse itself may not operate in a problem-free fashion, since the implementation may result in costly and timeconsuming disturbances and delays. Properly designing and continuously testing the application before installation allows the project to be implemented nonetheless.
