Title

Untersuchung des Einflusses verschiedener Prozessbedingungen, Fasergewichtsanteile und Faserlängen auf die Faserorientierung im Polyurethan Fasersprühprozess

Other Title
Influence of processing conditions, fiber contents and fiber lengths on fiber orientation in the polyurethane fiber spraying process
Abstract
Glass fiber reinforced polyurethane plates manufactured automatically with the polyurethane fiber spraying process were studied with respect to the spraying head position, the glass fiber weight content and the glass fiber length to determine the influence of these parameters on the fiber orientation. The spraying head was positioned at +45°, 0° and-45° to the vertical reference line of the tool surface. Fiber contents of 5, 10, 15 and 20 wt. % and fiber lengths of 6 and 12 mm were investigated. Investigations into the extension material parameters of round tensile specimens, cut out of the plates, and the transfer of these extension parameters in a mathematical approach were used to characterize the fiber orientation.
