Rationalisierungschancen beim Lackieren von Kunststoffen erkennen und nutzen

Beim Lackieren von Kunststoffteilen treten durch die geringere Temperaturbelastbarkeit, die höhere Elastizität des Grundwerkstoffes oder die fehlende elektrische Leitfähigkeit erhebliche Probleme auf. Dies betrifft vor allem den gegenüber der Metallteilelackierung wesentlich höheren Lackverlust. Insofern sind Aufwendungen zur sparsameren Lackierung hier besonders erfolgversprechend. Der Autor stellt ein neu entwickeltes computergestütztes Verfahren zur Optimierung der Lackierung vor.

A number of problems can occur when painting plastics which are not encountered with metallic substrates. These are associated with operating temperature limits of plastics, their higher elasticity and their properties as electrical insulators. The most serious implication is reduced paint utilisation efficiency with increased overspray, as compared to spraying of metallic components. Because of this, measures to increase paint spray efficiency can be well worthwhile. The author describes a newly developed computer-based system for optimising coating operations.
