Aspects of the use of stereoscopic video technologies

Imaging systems have been developed with which viewers can be afforded maximal telepresence through the use of 3D technologies. One objective of this work was to determine the usefulness of a stereoscopic image presentation at videoconferences. Experiments yielded numerous findings which are also meaningful for other applications of stereo vision.
