3D sweeping tools in the postscript interpreter dascript

Despite of the necessity of producing high quality documents comprising all aspects concerning the area of publishing, there is still no system available that can generate, and integrate 2D graphics systems, as well as in the world of page description languages. Our PostScript interpreter DaScript introduces 3D extensions able to handle, and to integrate 2D and 3D scenes as well as text in one tool. Furthermore, the extensions give a solution to the questionof producing 3D objects out of well defined fonts--volume text-- a problem that has not yet been solved in conventional 3D graphics systems. So, DaScript offers the power of PostScript on the one hand, comprising on the other hand all characteristics and advantages of a 3D scene generation system. (AGD)
