Challenges for Agrivoltaics in the International Context - An Analytical Hierarchy Process Survey

As the research field of agrivoltaics is developing rapidly in terms of volume and scope, there is still a lack of research that addresses barriers of deployment. The occasion of the second international conference, the AgriVoltaics2021 was an opportunity to ask for the perception and valuation of challenges among the international agrivoltaics research community. The paper aims to provide an overview and discussion basis on challenges that could be most prevalent in the different world regions and therefore promotes the development of region-specific solutions for improved agrivoltaics deployment and research. In addition to an online survey among agrivoltaics related professionals and researchers, expert interviews have been conducted to further deepen the understanding.
