Um den heutigen Marktanforderungen gerecht zu werden, wählen produzierende Unternehmen verstärkt dezentrale Organisationsstrukturen. Doch Dezentralisierung ist kein Selbstzweck. Ziel ist es vielmehr, Handlungs- und Entscheidungsspielräume so zu gestalten, daß die Reaktionsfähigkeit des Gesamtsystems steigt. Dies erfordert zunächst die Aspekte der Dezentralisierung differenziert zu betrachten.
