Title

Application of waveform relaxation in distributed process co-simulation

Abstract
In the Carbon2Chem joint research project, mathematical models are involved to simulate operation scenarios of crossindustrial networks, especially chemical plants implemented in a steel mill environment. In order to achieve an optimal model-based system integration approach, a distributed co-simulation environment is introduced. In particular this enables model suppliers and integrators to exchange co-simulation units without having to disclose sensitive information and intellectual property. Here, the architecture and preliminary results of such an environment which is based on a classical waveform relaxation algorithm are described.
