uRapid 2001 - International User's Conference on Rapid Prototyping & Rapid Tooling & Rapid Manufacturing

The uRapid2001 reflects current developments and trends towards the Rapid Technologies. It increasingly deals with integrated user requirements and process composition demands. Among other things this finds expression in the range and interconnections of virtual and physical Prototyping. Another trend contains the utilization of special, low-priced Rapid Prototyping-Technologies to be used directly in construction offices. Topics, which are dealing with Rapid Tooling for Metals and Non-metals as well as Rapid Manufacturing take up wide space. The presentation of new trade solutions makes furthermore the favorably utilization of the Rapid Technologies in non-traditional application fields clear. Different reports from the Fraunhofer-Allianz Rapid Prototyping and from its industrial co-operation partners emphasize the successful effort of supporting mainly small and middleclass enterprises at the development and use of Rapid-Technologies.
