Title

Assembly of micro-optical components for beam transformation systems of high power laser diode bars

Abstract
In this paper we describe the setup of an assembly system for micro-optical elements. This modular system allows adjustment of micro-optical components like various types of lenses with high power laser diodes in six axes with an accuracy of 0.3 mm in the three spatial axes as well as < 0.4 mrad for the three rotational axes. After the adjustment the components are glued into position using a semi-automatic glue dispenser and UV-hardening. The assembly of fast-axis collimation (FAC) lenses in fiber coupling system of high Y power laser diode (HPDL) bars is discussed.
