Title
Voronoi based Lattice infill Structures
Abstract
Additive Manufacturing requires the use of infill structures for objects to be printed. If an object should be partial hollow, the infill structures are supposed to carry the surfaces. Most infill-structures are based on regular patterns like lattices. This thesis proposes a more natural-looking approach with voronoi-cells as a new infill pattern. Due to the different parameters of the proposed algorithm, the cells can be dynamically created with respect to size, amount and wall-thickness. In order to test the cells we reviewed the relative infill, which is the ratio between the filled volume and the overall volume of an object. We list the relative volume next to parameter settings of the proposed algorithm such that the outcome of the algorithm is predictable and users are able to achieve required infill structures.
