Reduced Alignment Sensitivity and Pulsed Operation of Ho3+:YAG Laser Porro Resonators

Abstract
We present a Ho<sup>3+</sup>:YAG laser resonator with two crossed Porro prisms showing an improved alignment stability by a factor of up to 200. In a length-optimized single-Porro-ended design, 60 ns long 0.8 mJ pulses are generated.
